Electrical estimating is counting — thousands of accessories, metres of containment, circuit after circuit — and the counting is exactly what eats the evenings. Nexley takes the drawings and does the measured take-off for you: containment runs, accessory counts, distribution boards and cable routes, itemised and traceable back to each layout, priced from your own rates and put in front of you for review before anything leaves the office.

The take-off is the bottleneck
Ask any electrical contractor where tender week goes and the answer is the same: highlighters on layouts. Sockets, switches, downlights and data points counted plot by plot; tray and trunking measured wall by wall; a containment route re-walked because revision B moved a riser. Get one accessory count wrong across forty plots and the error multiplies quietly through the whole submission. Nexley measures from the drawings directly — you describe the job in plain English, attach the layouts, and get back a measured take-off and bill of quantities with every count referenced to its drawing, so checking it takes minutes rather than redoing it taking days.
Built around how electrical work is actually priced
- First fix and second fix, kept apart. Carcassing, containment and cabling in one section; accessories, terminations, testing and commissioning in another — so your staged valuations mirror the programme instead of fighting it.
- Containment measured properly. Tray, basket, ladder and conduit taken off by run with fittings and supports counted, not guessed at as a lump-sum allowance that either loses you the job or loses you the margin.

Winning the job starts a second admin trail: NICEIC assessment visits want your records straight, every EICR produces observations somebody must turn into a remedial quote, and electrical installation certificates have a habit of being chased by main contractors at handover.
