JobLogic alternatives without a 12-month contract

If you want Joblogic's job management without a long contract, the month-to-month alternatives are Tradify (£34 to £44 per user a month), ServiceM8 (from £25 a month for 50 jobs, unlimited users) and Gas Engineer Software (£18 to £30 per user). Joblogic Standard starts at £49 per user a month billed annually, and its pricing page says most customers commit to 24 or 36 months.

What does a Joblogic contract commit you to?

You commit to a year or more of fees for every user, paid whether or not you use the system. Work out the total before you sign, because that is the number you owe if the system proves the wrong fit.

Worked example

Five users on Joblogic Standard: what you're signing up to

An owner, an office manager and three engineers. Price from Joblogic's pricing page, October 2026.

Monthly fee5 users × £49£245
Annual commitment£245 × 12£2,940
Commitment on a 36-month term£2,940 × 3£8,820
Same five users on Tradify Pro, month to month5 × £37£185
Most you'd lose leaving Tradify after a bad month£185
Before VAT and any onboarding fee. Joblogic says onboarding fees depend on the project; smaller customers can usually self-serve at no extra cost.

The owner of a four-to-five-person renovation and extension builder told us he'd been burned on a different job software contract: 12 months, £500 for training and the wrong package for the business. He now runs his admin through Nexley, and it has gone from about two days a week to about 30 minutes a day.

What do Joblogic's terms say about leaving?

Joblogic's published terms and conditions run for each payment period and renew automatically. To leave, you give notice before the period ends.

Your signed order form may set a longer term than the website terms, so read that too. If a large sum is at stake, ask a solicitor to read it before you sign. Our guide to software contracts for trades has a list of questions to ask any supplier.

Which alternatives have no contract?

These four advertise month-to-month billing as of October 2026. All price per user except ServiceM8.

ToolPrice a monthContractSuits
Tradify£34, £37 or £44 per userNone, cancel any timeDomestic crews, quotes and invoices
ServiceM8£25 to £269, by jobs a monthNoneBigger teams with modest job counts
Gas Engineer Software£18 to £30 per userRolling monthlyGas and heating certificates
Nexley£799 flatMonth to monthOwner-run firms drowning in admin

The difference. These apps hold the jobs; you still do the office work. Nexley does that work for you: quotes, invoices, chasing, supplier bills and tenders, drafted overnight from your own prices and your Xero, waiting for your yes in WhatsApp. It works alongside the app you already have.

Tradify publishes its prices, offers a 14-day trial, and says there are "no contracts or commitments". Pro at £37 adds timesheets, progress invoicing and costing; Plus at £44 adds purchase orders.

ServiceM8 has unlimited users on paid plans, so a large team with few jobs pays little. See ServiceM8 alternatives for the full price table.

Gas Engineer Software suits domestic heating firms; Starter is £18 per user on annual billing or £19 monthly, and Pro at £30 adds accounting sync.

Will you lose features by leaving Joblogic?

Possibly, if you run maintenance contracts. Joblogic covers planned preventive maintenance, SLA tracking, asset registers with QR tags, F-gas records built with REFCOM and SFG20 task lists. Tradify and ServiceM8 are built mainly for reactive and domestic work.

Features to check before you cancel Joblogic

If most of those are ticked, you may be better staying with Joblogic and negotiating a shorter term than switching. If none are, you're paying for features a domestic firm doesn't use.

How do you leave without losing your data?

Export first, then give notice. Joblogic's terms put the job of keeping copies of your data on you, and access depends on the fee being paid.

  1. Find your renewal date.

It's on your order form or first invoice. Diary a reminder 45 days before it.

  2. Export everything.

Customers, sites, assets, jobs, quotes, invoices and certificates, as spreadsheets and PDFs. Check the files open.

  3. Run the new system in parallel.

Two weeks of live jobs is enough to find the gaps.

  4. Give written notice.

Email it at least 30 days before the period ends, and ask for confirmation of the end date.

  5. Check your accounts software.

Disconnect the old integration so it can't post duplicate invoices into Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.

Where Nexley fits

Nexley is the AI back office for UK trade firms: five AI assistants run your tenders, quotes, buying, scheduling and invoicing. It connects to the tools you already work in, you run it all from WhatsApp, and you approve everything. £799 a month.

Nexley handles the office work around jobs, over WhatsApp: quotes from voice notes, supplier bills against the right job, cost per job, and chasing. You approve everything before it goes. It's £799 a month, month to month with no contract, and you can keep your job software or drop it.

Common questions

How is Nexley different from a job management app?

A job app is a better filing system: it holds your jobs, and you still do the quoting, invoicing and chasing. Nexley does that work. Five AI assistants draft your quotes, invoices, supplier orders, replies and tenders overnight from your own prices and your Xero, and you approve each one in WhatsApp. It's the office help you'd otherwise hire, for £799 a month against about £2,358 a month for a full-time admin.

Does Joblogic have a monthly contract?

Joblogic's comparison pages say it offers annual terms and not monthly contracts. Its pricing page says most customers commit to 24 or 36 months, with a 12-month term available on request, as of October 2026.

How much is Joblogic per user?

Joblogic Standard is published from £49 per user a month, billed annually. Premium and Enterprise are priced on request, based on team size and modules.

Can I cancel Joblogic early?

That depends on your signed agreement. The website terms say you give notice at least 30 days before the end of the payment period, and you remain liable for the period you're in. Read your order form, and get legal advice if the sum is large.

What's the cheapest alternative to Joblogic?

For a small domestic team, Gas Engineer Software Starter at £18 to £19 per user or ServiceM8 Starter at £25 for 50 jobs are the lowest published paid prices we found. The cheapest is the one that covers the work you do.
